National Flag of Georgia at the premises of Permament Mission of Georgia in Geneva flies at half-mast to commemorate the tragic fall of Sokhumi on 27th of September at 1993 and to pay tribute to the victims of war in Abkhazia.

The war in Abkhazia started on August 14, 1992 and lasted for 13 months and 13 days. About 30,000 people lost their lives in the armed conflict, and more than 300,000 became displaced.
