On 7 October 2026, in Geneva, the United Nations Human Rights Council adopted the resolution entitled “Cooperation with Georgia,” addressing the human rights situation in Georgia’s occupied regions. At the session of the UN Human Rights Council, Georgia’s resolution was presented by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Lasha Darsalia.

On September 17, 2026, within the framework of the 63rd session of the UN Human Rights Council, Georgia’s Permanent Representative, Revaz Lominadze, delivered a joint statement on behalf of 64 countries on the importance of further promoting and supporting the rights of persons on the autism spectrum.

On August 13, 2026, Georgia’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Offices and other International Organizations in Geneva, Revez Lominadze, held a meeting with the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, Volker Türk.

At the initiative and under the organization of the Permanent Mission of Georgia in Geneva, a cultural event and exhibition dedicated to the rights of persons with autism was held within the framework of the 62nd session of the United Nations Human Rights Council. The exhibition featured works by young artists on the autism spectrum, Kamran Israfilov and Fernando Lozano Méndez.

From May 31 to June 3, 2026, the Secretary-General of the International Civil Defence Organization (ICDO), Arguj Kalantharli, paid an official visit to Georgia, where he held meetings with the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, and the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, Gaga Kirkitaidze.
