Revaz Lominadze, participated in a meeting between the Secretariat of the Convention on Wetlands of International Importance (the Ramsar Convention) and the Georgian delegation
On May 5, 2026, in Geneva, the Permanent Representative of Georgia to the United Nations Office and other international organizations, Ambassador Revaz Lominadze, participated in a meeting organized at the initiative of Georgia’s Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture between the Secretariat of the Convention on Wetlands of International Importance (the Ramsar Convention) and the Georgian delegation.
During the meeting, the parties reviewed ongoing issues related to cooperation between Georgia and the Ramsar Convention Secretariat and identified future priorities.
The Secretary General of the Ramsar Convention positively assessed Georgia’s efforts in developing a biodiversity strategy, managing water resources, and protecting wetlands, and expressed readiness to further deepen cooperation.
