Ambassador Revaz Lominadze, held a meeting with the Secretary General of the International Civil Defence Organization

On February 18, 2026, in Geneva, the Permanent Representative of Georgia to the United Nations Office and other international organizations, Ambassador Revaz Lominadze, held a meeting with the Secretary General of the International Civil Defence Organization (ICDO), Arguj kalantarli.

The parties discussed cooperation between Georgia and the ICDO and reaffirmed their readiness to further strengthen their relations.

Particular attention was paid to deepening cooperation in the areas of civil defense, disaster risk reduction, and preparedness for emergency situations.

The importance of implementing joint initiatives was emphasized.

The meeting also addressed ongoing institutional reforms as well as the organization’s recent and planned international activities.

The parties once again confirmed their readiness to continue close cooperation in support of humanitarian activities and to promote the development of resilient civil protection systems.
